There is a Keurig and drink vending machines available in the Cafe. No food is allowed in the Library.

Computer Access

Computer Access

Desktop computers are available to use in both Adult and Youth Services for free with a library card or guest pass. Use of the Library’s computers and wifi access constitutes acceptance and agreement of the Technology Resources Policy.

Copier

The Library has one copier for public use. It is located in the Business Center in Adult Services. The copier produces black and white, as well as color copies. Black and white copies are $.10/copy and color copies cost $.25/copy.

Donations

The Library welcomes books, CDs, and DVDs in good condition and in small quantities (one box or less) which will be offered for sale on the Friends of the Library perpetual book sale. Bring items for donation to the front desk. (details about what we can and cannot accept are on the Friends page)

Fax and Scan

Fax and Scan

The Library has a free public scanner that scans to a USB drive, e-mail, a smartphone, Google Docs, and Fax. 

Field Trips or Visits

Field Trips or Visits

Schedule a visit to the Library or a Library visit to your classroom for tours and orientation, Book Talks, Story Times, and for Curriculum Nights. To schedule, please contact Youth Services at 630-344-6127 or children@cslibrary.org.

Homebound delivery

Homebound delivery

If you are unable to get to the library on your own, delivery may be a great service for you. Homebound delivery service is provided free to Carol Stream Public Library cardholders who live in participating senior facilities and nursing homes, as well as people who can't visit the Library for 30 days or more due to illness or disability.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan

Items that are not available at the Carol Stream Public Library may be requested from other libraries. Patrons will be notified when items are available for pick up. Item requests outside of the SWAN Consortium are available for Carol Stream cardholders only. Patrons are also responsible for any fees charged by the owning library. Email cstream@cslibrary.org or complete this request form.

Lost and Found

Patron Services will make every effort to contact the owner of items in our Lost and Found. When this is not possible, the Library will hold the article for 14 days. The Library is not responsible for personal belongings left unattended anywhere on Library property.

Lynn O'Dell Quiet Room

Enjoy the quiet of the Lynn O'Dell Quiet Room which has multiple table and seating options available for reading and study. The door closes to the rest of the library to help keep distractions to a minimum.
