Registration opens for Carol Stream Public Library cardholders April 1 at 9:00 a.m.

This class is a two-day course, with session one being on Monday, April 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and session two on Tuesday, April 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Attendance is mandatory for both days to be eligible for the certificate of completion, as well as any waived fees for CSPL cardholders.

The AARP Smart Driver course teaches valuable defensive driving strategies and provides a refresher on the rules of the road. This course is for drivers aged 50 and older. Depending on your car insurance, you may qualify for a multi-year discount by completing the course. This course will span over two days and attendance for both is mandatory. Each class will be roughly 4 hours, with breaks in between. Light refreshments will be available. Please check with your insurance provider if you would qualify for any discount before registering as space will be limited.

Residents that sign up with a valid Carol Stream Public Library card will not be required to pay the AARP Smart Driver course fee. Registration is limited, so please keep in mind the time commitment.

If you wish to register for the class and do not have a CSPL library card, please email amoreno@cslibrary.org for waitlist options. Those without Carol Stream Public Library cards will need to pay the course fee, which can be handled directly through the instructor.
