Late Opening

Saturday Stories

Children five and under with their parents enjoy short stories, rhymes and songs. Come for stories and stay for Preschool Playdate immediately following. No registration required.

Fancy Feet (offsite at M Dance Center, 455 Kehoe Dr. Carol Stream)

Got boogie fever? Need to shake a tail feather? Want to cut a rug? So do we! At this dance party hosted by Millennium Dance Center, students will learn dance fundamentals, work on their musicality and rhythm, and use their imagination through creative movement. This 30 minute class is a great way for boys and girls ages 2-5 to gain exposure to dance and music, practice some basic motor skills, and have FUN! Parents must remain in the room.

Adventures in Yoga

A very special yoga class designed especially for preschoolers and their caregivers. Taught by Amber Bloomquist from Kindness Kids Yoga, practitioners will learn basic poses, meditation, relaxation, and have the opportunity for creative expression. Bring your yoga mat if you have one, a towel if you don't. For ages 3-6 and their caregivers. Space is limited and parental permission is required. Register by visiting the Youth Services desk or calling 630-344-6127.

PAWS for Reading

Research shows that kids who read to certified, reading therapy dogs improve their oral reading fluency and their reading confidence. Sign up for a 15-minute time slot to read one-on-one to a special canine companion. Space is limited and parental permission is required. Register at the Youth Services desk.

Twilight Tales

Bring the whole family for story time. Stories will be aimed at preschoolers, but all ages are welcome with an accompanying adult.

Graphic Novel Book Club

Let’s talk about New Kid by Jerry Craft and enjoy some themed snacks! Get a copy of the book at the Youth Services Desk to keep and add to your collection.

Homeschool Hangout: Blast Off!

Homeschool families are invited to join us as we take off for outer space! Create space gear, learn about the moon, conduct experiments about gravity, and more. Come connect with other homeschoolers!
