Calling all artists! This summer, let's learn all about different artists and their artistic styles.

Every session will focus on a different artist/movement and will include a hands-on tutorial.

Introducing a new monthly series for adults, Meditation Together invites you to explore fun and simple relaxation techniques with your friends and neighbors.  

We will share wonderful stories, songs and rhymes for our smallest friends. An opportunity for free play and discussion    will follow the storytime. 

Beep beep! Drive on into the Library to decorate your very own cardboard box convertible, then settle in to watch a short movie with us.

For ages 3-6.

Pit stop! Drive on into the Library to decorate your very own cardboard box race car as you watch the Disney movie Cars.

For grades 2-5.

Come and join our Book Club’s tour through time. This month we will be reading Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi. Ask for a copy of the book at the Adult Reference Desk.

Got boogie fever? Want to shake a tail feather? Students will learn dance fundamentals, work on their musicality and rhythm, and use their imagination through creative movement with an instructor from Flourish Dance Academy.

Calling all chess-letes!

Summer chess is back at the Library! Join us for this seven-week session as Mr. Steve teaches the basics of chess, and provides open play time for those eager to try out their new-found knowledge.

During the seven-week session, students will compete with each other to determine who will represent Carol Stream at the inter-library chess tournament at the end of the summer.

This is the monthly meeting of the Library Board of Trustees. The public is welcome to attend.

Join us for Freedom Day, 2025 with songstress Tanya Egler and Friends, a soulful musical ensemble. Bring the whole family to this day of recognition, restoration and celebration!

An interactive storytime that pairs that pairs gentle movement with themed and social-emotional learning books and active songs. For ages 3-6, with caregiver. 

Yoga's a great way to experience movement and relaxation at your own pace, so join us for themed kids poses, active games and breathing and mindfulness breaks. For grades 1-5.

Relax with coffee, donuts and a game! We will be playing Hibachi in June and July with a free play day in August.

Join us for a special storytime to enjoy picture books from around the world with accompanying snacks from the book's country of origin.
