The Smart Cookie Book Club is for kids in grades 3-5 who love good books, delicious cookies and great conversations! Once you register, pick up a free copy at the Youth Services Desk.

This month, we're reading Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus by Dusti Bowling. Meet thirteen-year-old Aven Green, who was born armless, adopted, and is well adjusted in her life in Kansas but now must move to Arizona for her parents. She gains two new friends who have problems of their own when they all embark on an adventure of solving the mystery at the old run-down amusement park her parents now run.
