Seed Starting (In-Person)

Escape the winter blues and start your garden indoors. Starting your own seedlings is fun, saves money, and gives you a large selection of varieties to choose from. Lindsay Zimmerman from Sustain DuPage will discuss the fundamentals of seed starting at home, including the different types of containers and planting mediums, proper planting depth and spacing, factors such as temperature, light, and moisture, where to source your seeds, the ideal time for planting, and when and how to transplant seedlings into larger containers or outdoor gardens.
