C'mere to a Poetry Slam! NO REGISTRATION NECESSARY.
What, you ask? A poetry slam is just reading poems aloud (slamming) in a public place to celebrate poetry. Did you Know? The first poetry slam happened right here in Chicago, Illinois in 1986. Since then, poetry slams have spread throughout the world, both competitively and for fun. This one is for fun! Come one, Come All. Share a popular classic, self-written, all-age-appropriate poem while we all snap our fingers to music as we listen, read and share. Feel free to dress the part and wear your poet's beret if you want to!
