Program Description

Event Details

Arbor Day, April 28, 2023, is a day of observance in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Join us for a Tree Walk in honor of Arbor Day to learn about trees in our area.  We will meet at the Carol Stream Library for a short introduction and then one of our members, University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Gail Sanders, will lead an hour tour to look at trees planted nearby.  She will talk about the pros and cons of these different trees in the home landscape - which trees are good to plant and why, pests and diseases for these trees. If time permits, we will then return to the library to learn a little bit about the Village of Carol Stream's Parkway Tree Planting Program.

This program requires acceptance of the following Waiver and Release of all Claims.

These programs are held in collaboration between the DuPage Organic Garden Club and the Carol Stream Public Library.
