Material loan periods and extended use fees

Materials kept beyond the due date will accrue an Extended Use Fee until returned (or renewed). Fees may accumulate up to the (replacement) cost of the item borrowed.

Lost or Damaged Materials 

When materials are lost or damaged beyond repair, the borrowing account is charged the replacement cost of the item. 

Borrowing Privileges  

When total charges on an account reach $20.00, the patron’s borrowing privileges are blocked until payment is made to bring the total under $20.00. When a juvenile account reaches $20 in charges the borrowing privileges of the responsible party are also blocked until payment is made to bring the total under $20.00. 

Collection 

When $25.00 or more for damaged or unreturned materials is owed to the Library, the account is referred to a materials recovery service. Collection referral for Juvenile accounts are made in the name of the Responsible Party. A non-refundable billing fee of $10.00 is assessed on all accounts referred to a materials recovery service.
