Library Resources for Seniors

Home Book Delivery: Home delivery service is provided free to Carol Stream Public Library cardholders who live in participating senior facilities and nursing homes, as well as people who can't visit the Library for 30 days or more due to illness or disability.  

Consumer Health Complete: Research health-related topics on aging, cancer, diabetes, and more. 

Legal Information Reference Center: Resources to assist you in legal matters of all kinds including family law, financial planning, property, and more

Book-a-Librarian: If you need help with your device or project, contact one of our librarians to schedule a 1on1 appointment. We offer technology assistance, research-based assistance, and guidance for small businesses, students, and job seekers. Appointments may be limited to 1x per week, and dependent on availability with a 60-minute max time duration. After submitting your form, a staff member will follow up within 2 business days regarding your inquiry.

Community Resources for Seniors

DuPage County Senior Services: This department of DuPage County provides a variety of community resources for seniors, including adult day care, case management, and in-home services. 

DuPage County Senior Citizens Council: This non-profit organization provides home-delivered meals, well-being checks, chore/housekeeping services, and more to seniors in DuPage County. 

DuPage Care Center: This long-term care facility provides medical care, rehabilitation services, and a variety of activities for seniors.
