Super Readers Club
Attention Students in Grades K-5! You are invited to join the Super Readers Club. The more you read, the more Spirit Sticks you will earn. Spirit Sticks are fun to collect and even more fun to show off to your friends. How it works: Visit the Library. Select a group of books to read from. Like pirates? Read adventure books! Like comic books? Choose graphic novels! You'll receive a book log. Return the completed log to earn one Spirit Stick. You can earn one Spirit Stick a month.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Parents want their children to start school ready to learn, and the Library is here to help.
Our new program, “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten,” for children from birth to age 5, invites families to experience the joy of reading together.
Visit the Youth Services Desk to register and receive all the materials you’ll need to start this reading adventure, and a book for your child to keep.
For every 100 books read, return to the Library to receive your next set of book logs and another free book to help build your home library.
The Library thanks our local schools for their enthusiastic support of this important early literacy initiative as well as Dr. Lawrence A. DuBose, whose generous donation made the development of this program possible.
Participation is limited to Carol Stream Library cardholders.
