Group activities for teens ages 12-18

Teen Recharge

Mondays, 2 – 4 p.m. and  Tuesdays through Thursdays, 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Looking for something to do after school? We have the latest game systems and fun activities for you and your friends. Or just come in, relax and get some homework out of the way. We are open for more days and longer hours this year!

Anime Club

One Friday a month, 4-5 p.m.

Are you obsessed with Anime or Manga? Are you concerned about your chakra power or the advantages/disadvantages your Kagune has over others? For each Anime Club meeting, we watch an anime episode and participate in an anime themed activity, like games or crafts. We also enjoy some Japanese style snacks and candies! No registration required - show up when you can!

Anime series watched so far: My Neighbor Seki (Tonari no Seki-kun), School Rumble, One-Punch Man, Assassination Classroom, World Trigger, Devil is a Part-Timer Fairy Tail, Log-Horizon.

Teen Book Talk

One Thursday a month, 4-5 p.m.

Do you love reading books, graphic novels, or manga and can’t wait to tell the world? Do you like to read the book before seeing the movie? Or, maybe you want to find out what other teens are reading? This is not a book report or a classroom discussion. We focus on one book each month, but it is not required reading. If you’re not sure what to talk about, join us anyway and just listen while you enjoy some snacks!

Teen Advisory Board

One Thursday a month, 4-5 p.m.

We need your input, opinions, advice and help! The Teen Advisory Board is an opporunty for you to help shape library services while having fun and serving your community. Five reasons to join TAB:

  1. Invite your friends to join and/or meet some new teens with similar interests
  2. Earn volunteer hours for ogranizations like National Honor Society
  3. Help us plan, design and build displays throughout the Library
  4. Tell us all about your great program ideas and assist us in hosting these programs
  5. Let us know about any must-have books, movies or games we might have missed in our collection
