Word Play: Word Bubbles

Word Play is the monthly club where we find all kinds of ways to play with stories. This month we're re-scripting some of our favorite cartoons by cutting out the characters and adding our own word bubbles!

Intermediate Chess

Take your chess skills to the next level! Come in for a brief lesson followed by open play time. For ages 8 and up. Parents welcome.

Scavenger Hunt

Details to come. Some sort of scavenger hunt/bingo/passive activity.

Hands on Learning

Blast off with us to outer space to learn about planets, stars, and astronauts. We’ll have playful learning stations for caregiver and child to explore together.

PAWS for Reading

Research shows that kids who read to certified, reading therapy dogs improve their oral reading fluency and their reading confidence. Sign up for a 15-minute time slot to read one-on-one to a special canine companion. Space is limited and parental permission is required. Register at the Youth Services desk.

Middle School Book Chat-CANCELLED

Do you read past your bedtime? Would you always rather be reading? Come talk about your favorite books and learn about new ones. Take home a #bookproblems button!
