Thu, March 7, 2019 -
7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Combined Room (Discovery & Horizon)

Grow a Fruit Tree Guild
A fruit tree guild is a community of plants grown around a centralized fruit tree which work together to minimize maintenance, increase nutrition and food yields, and allow you to manage diseases and pests naturally. Join Jodi Trendler, co-founder of the The Resiliency Institute to learn how to plant a fruit tree guild in your backyard and start building your very own food forest!

Since 1971, this club has been teaching members about building soil quality and taking care of garden pests naturally. A well-run ecological garden attracts birds and beneficial insects that help keep pests to a minimum and pollinate the plants. The programs are hosted by the DuPage Organic Garden Club and the Carol Stream Public Library.

Doors will open at 6:30p for Garden Club members to mingle. All are welcome.
